MANAGEMENT  SKILLS PROGRAM

Suitable for: All people in any management role, large or small business, or anyone aspiring to be in that position

Learning outcomes: Gain an understanding that management does not mean micro management, leaders can be managers and managers can be leaders but micromanagers are controllers  and therefore never effective leaders. What is the difference?

Department fall behinds

  • What is creating loss of activity, energy, interest, in that department?
  • Management/leadership issues?
  • Boredom?
  • Become effective using tools for dealing with boredom and disinterest.
  • Recognise when you are controlling for a result instead of empowering for a result.

Interdepartmental rivalry

  • What is the value of competition?
  • Is there more value in collaboration?
  • What would be the benefits of collaboration and contribution within a company?
  • How to get people working together.

Handling abuse

  • Sexual, physical, emotional or mental harrassment – how can you deal with this easily and successfully?
  • How do you handle your emotions/fears attached to abuse?
  • Where do you buy the judgments of others and diminish yourself?

Dealing with fear

  • What if fear wasn’t real?
  • Learn to recognise ‘fear’ for what it truly is and never letting it control you again.
  • Does investment in the outcome help or hinder ?

Divorceless relationships

  • Creating business (and home life) relationships without cutting you out of it.
  • Never excluding you from the computation of the relationships.
  • Being aware of how you try and fit in with other people’s realities and learn to create your own.
